FAQ

I have lost my share certificate. What should I do?

You should contact Capita Registrars and they will provide you with a form of indemnity and once completed and returned to them, they will prepare a duplicate share certificate.  You should note that there may be a charge for producing duplicate certificates.

Can I donate some of my shares to charity?

Yes. We have an arrangement with the Orr Mackintosh Foundation Limited whereby your shares will be sold and the proceeds distributed to recognised charities.

You can do this on-line or write to Capita Registrars with the details of your old and new address and your 11-digit investor code which can be found on your share certificate. Any change of address must be made in writing or on-line and not by telephone.

I was a shareholder of George Wimpey Plc. What has happened to my shares?

When Taylor Woodrow plc and George Wimpey Plc merged on 3 July 2007 to create Taylor Wimpey plc, your George Wimpey shares were replaced by an issue of Taylor Wimpey shares. A share certificate for your shares of Taylor Wimpey will have been sent to you around the 17th July 2007 (or, if you hold your shares in Crest, would have been credited to your Crest account on or about 3 July 2007). Any share certificate for George Wimpey Plc shares is now invalid.

When are dividends usually paid?

They are paid twice a year normally in July and November.

Can I continue to have a share certificate?

Yes. Shareholders who do not buy or sell shares regularly may prefer to continue to have a share certificate.

How do I buy and sell Taylor Wimpey shares?

Can I check my shareholding on-line?

Yes. We offer a number of on-line facilities where you can check your account details, change your address, check what dividends have been paid etc. For security reasons, you may need to apply for an on-line user ID to use some of these facilities.

Can I hold my shares in a Crest account?

Yes, your Taylor Wimpey shares can be held electronically in a Crest account. This means that you will not have a share certificate and it may make it quicker and easier for you to buy and sell your shares.

Can I arrange for my dividends to be paid directly into my bank or building society?

Yes, you can do this on-line. Alternatively, you can complete the dividend mandate form attached to your dividend cheque and return it to Capita Registrars. If you choose to do this, you will continue to be sent a tax voucher for each dividend to your home address
